Kaike Onsen is a resort resort area facing the Sea of Japan, where modern hotels and ryokans (traditional Japanese-style inns) built in the traditional Sukiya style stand side by side in a pine forest.
It is also called the “Okuza of Yonago” and “Atami of San’in”, and has been selected as one of the “100 best beaches in Japan”, “100 best white sand and green pine trees in Japan”, “100 best sunset and sunrise in Japan”, “100 best cityscape”, and “88 best bathing beaches in Japan”.
The white sandy beach in front of the resort is not only a busy beach in summer, but also hosts the All Japan Triathlon Kaike, the first triathlon held in Japan.
There are also free footbaths, day-trip bathing facilities, a heated swimming pool, tennis courts, and a gate ball field in the vicinity.
